Our story isn’t a love-at-first-sight story. It’s a love-at-the-right-time story — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you had told us the first time we met that we would be getting married now, we both would have said that you were crazy. Connor was close with our family, but I never would have thought that he would be a part of my story. But God wasn’t finished writing our story. In His perfect timing, we met again. And this time, everything was different. What once felt ordinary became something undeniably special. We started to truly see each other — to laugh more, talk deeper, and build a connection that felt like home. We could feel God guiding us in every step of the way, and we are so thankful for our families for supporting us throughout our relationship. We give all the credit to our parents, as well as Gary and Sheila Miller for loving us, both individually and as a couple. Gary and my mom (Karyn), like to say they started it all - two phone calls that Gary made have changed the entire course of our lives. The very beginning of our story started in November of 2023. Connor had recently been stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Gary had called my mom, and in the conversation, she mentioned to him that she didn’t think that Connor had any plans for Thanksgiving since he had no family nearby. Gary called Connor and invited him to come to our family’s Thanksgiving and stay with us for the weekend. By the time he left, Connor was already feeling the chemistry. In January, he came up a few weekends in a row to hang out with our family, and by February, everyone could see the chemistry (besides me). I was in full denial, but it didn’t take long before I knew that what Connor and I had was special. It was clear to us that this is what God intended for our lives, and after lots of time and prayer, we became official in April of 2024. Fast forward a year, and we couldn’t be more in love. We are so excited to take this next step in becoming husband and wife and seeing what God has in store for our future. We believe with our whole hearts that this love, this journey, was always a part of His plan for our lives. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with some of our favorite people! With love, Connor and Julie
