LOVE AT FIRST SWIPE

Our Love Story After the end of a long-term relationship, I entered a season of reflection, growth, and renewed faith. Though not without its challenges, it affirmed a quiet conviction within me that my future would not be defined by my past. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, and anchored in my faith, I remained open to a love grounded in mutual respect, steadfast support, and a deep devotion to family. Cliff’s journey was shaped by profound experiences of his own. As a widower, he devoted himself to raising his two sons, supported by a close-knit village and guided by enduring values of faith, love, and commitment. Opening his heart again required both courage and grace, but in time, he chose to remain open to the possibility of companionship once more. By 2021, I had cautiously stepped into the unfamiliar world of online dating, though I had yet to encounter someone who truly felt like “my person.” Then came Cliff—God's blessing, arriving precisely when I needed him most. On one of his very first visits to the app, he came across my profile and swiped right. As fate and perhaps a little divine intervention—would have it, when I later saw Cliff’s profile, something about him instantly stood apart. Though I continued to browse, no one else resonated in quite the same way. Our first date took place during COVID, so naturally, masks were involved. We met at a public coffee spot to finally see if the connection we felt online and on the phone would translate in person. After spending time talking and laughing, we reached the moment of truth...the BIG reveal. Once we settled in, we both removed our masks for the first time. I VIVIDLY remember Cliff’s reaction when he looked at me and said, “You gonna be aight.” Wow, look at us now! I am alright and so is Cliff. From that singular connection, a meaningful relationship began to unfold one marked by patience, kindness, laughter, and a natural sense of harmony. What followed felt less like coincidence and more like God's promise fulfilled. Over time, I came to recognize Cliff as one of God's greatest blessings in my life, a partner whose love, faith, and unwavering support exceeded anything I had hoped for. As scripture reminds us, “Love is patient, love is kind…” a truth that has gracefully revealed itself throughout our journey. Now, we look ahead to September 20, 2026, when you will join us as we become one in matrimony! Ours is not simply a story of chance, but of faith, timing, and the quiet assurance that when love is meant to be, it arrives with both certainty and grace.
