FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 30, 2026. If you do not RSVP by this date, we must unfortunately assume that you are not available. You can scan the QR code on your invitation or select the RSVP tab at the top of this website. Type your name as it appears in your invitation, and select your reception meal and indicate any dietary requirements.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please wear semi-formal/business casual attire, and please avoid wearing outfits which are mostly white. Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

Question

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

We request only those formally invited to attend the wedding ceremony and reception. If you have a plus one, it will be indicated on your wedding invitation or when you RSVP.

Question

Will there be parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For the ceremony at Heinz Memorial Chapel, nearby garage and street parking is available, as well as a small accessible parking pad adjacent to the chapel. For more details, please refer to the following page, and click on the tab "Parking". https://www.heinzchapel.pitt.edu/weddings/guidelines For the reception at LeMont Restaurant, on-street parking and paid lots are available. LeMont also offers valet parking for $9/vehicle. For more details, please see: https://www.lemontpittsburgh.com/faqs

Question

What is the schedule for the day?

Answer

The ceremony at Heinz Memorial Chapel will be from 2:30-3:15 pm (all times in ET). Afterwards, there will be a 2 hour and 15 minute break before the reception, which begins with a cocktail hour at 5:30 pm. A plated dinner is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. After dinner, wedding celebrations will continue until 10:30 pm.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony, which will begin at 2:30 pm. Note that it may be difficult to find parking near Heinz Memorial Chapel (which is on the University of Pittsburgh campus), traffic can be heavy, and the roads can be confusing if this is your first time in Pittsburgh.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a 2 hour and 15 minute break between the end of the ceremony (3:15 pm) and when the reception venue will open to guests (5:30 pm.) There are many great ways to fill this time! It takes 15-30 minutes (depending on traffic) by car to travel to the reception venue from Heinz Memorial Chapel. Near Heinz Memorial Chapel, consider seeing the Cathedral of Learning, Phipps Conservatory, or the Carnegie Museums. Near LeMont Restaurant, consider taking a view of the Pittsburgh skyline from the nearby outlooks, or taking a ride on the Duquesne incline. There are also many other things to explore in Pittsburgh, take a look at the "Things To Do" Page for more options if you plan to stay longer.

Question

Where should I stay in Pittsburgh?

Answer

We have reserved four hotel blocks with varying prices and locations (either near the ceremony location or near the Pittsburgh airport). Please see the "Travel" Tab for detailed information and to reserve your accommodations.
