The way Christopher and I met is actually quite a funny story for a couple different reasons. The very first time we "met" was in college at freshman orientation when we were on the Belle of Louisville and he decided he wanted to dance with me. Me having a boyfriend at the time was not having it. Now because of our first encounter, every time I saw him around campus that time on the Belle of Louisville is always what I would think of. Well not quite a year rolls around, I am out of my previous relationship and I was going out with all my friends on the soccer team. We have a mutual friend so he tags along. We were at Diamonds, an 18 and older club, and believe it or not now I was the one that wanted to dance. We clicked right away and ended up having so much fun that night. I eventually came to realize that he was exactly what I didn't know I was looking for.
Now I have never had to propose to someone but I can imagine how hard it must be to surprise your girlfriend with a proposal when she knows its coming, keeps nagging you about it but just doesn't know when its going to happen. One thing he did make sure that I knew was that there was no way that he was going to do it during thanksgiving weekend when we were having his graduation party. That day was strictly about him and his graduation. Well, I just want everyone to take a wild guess of when it happened...yes, yes you are correct, it happened at his graduation party, which then turned into a graduation/engagement party! How lucky am I to have a guy who was willing to share with me. All of our family and friends were there and it was even more than I could have ever hoped for.
