Kids are welcome. The venue does have children's meals available so please let me know how many children you are bringing on the RSVP card that you mail back to me.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We have set up a room block with a discounted rate at Westin Georgetown, located at: 2350 M St NW, Washington, DC 20037 Pricing $216-246/night depending on if you book a king or double room. If you need a double room, the Westin has told me these rooms are limited, and you will likely have to call the hotel to check availability. To get the rate, please book by June 20, 2024. Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

For the wedding ceremony, there is a parking garage called St. Matthew's Center that is located next to the cathedral at 1717 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington DC 20036. There is also street parking on Rhode Island Ave NW and surrounding streets, but spots are very limited. For the wedding reception, valet parking is available at no additional charge at Westin Georgetown, located at 2350 M St NW, Washington, DC. Mention the Julie Mathew-Brian Smythe Wedding event to the parking attendants. There is also a parking parage around the corner of the hotel for self-park, and that would be an additional cost. If you're lucky, you would find parking on M St NW and surrounding streets to the hotel, but these spots are known to be extremely limited.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Not at this time but there is parking available at both venues.
Question
Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Nothing official planned but feel free to visit my parents the evening before the wedding, early morning of the wedding, and/or the day after. We have a wedding rehearsal to attend for just the wedding party on Fri July 26 at 3pm, but afterwards, we'll have dinner available at my parent's house Fri evening. :) On Saturday morning prior to the wedding, people are welcome to stop by my parents house in the morning between 8-10am for breakfast.
