We're lucky in DC to have so many Smithsonian museums to visit, all of which are free of charge!
This is a gorgeous oasis in the city, and a nice warm spot to visit in the winter months.
A fancy-dancy new area in the city with upscale dining and shopping. Worth a visit to the Christmas tree and the main street which is always decorated for each season.
A super cool market with local food stalls.
This is a newly renovated area of town, right on the water, with lots of good restaurants, bars, and a great music venue, the Anthem.
Our favorite coffee in the city. Try the draft oat milk latte. Yum! :)
You can see the Nutcracker ballet here if you're in town a few days early. There are shows on Friday, 12/27, Saturday, 12/28, and Sunday, 12/29. Events sell out quickly around town though, so if you're interested in seeing the show, it'd be worth getting tickets sooner than later.
A historic theater, known for being the site where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. The Christmas Carol is playing here over the weekend, but these shows sell out quickly, so if you'd like to get tickets, you'd want to get those as soon as possible.
Great local DC brewery with pub food. Brian's favorite beer here is Raised by Wolves.
Great place for an "unconventional" brunch!
Yummy pizza, although not as good as the pizza in RI! :)
Good Mexican place. If you end up here, try a margarita with mexcal!
Delicious food at a one Michelin star restaurant.
A winery in the city with pretty views of the water.
