Our Story
Brett and Julie met through mutual friends. It all began with a party bus set up by Brett’s friends, Zach and Amanda, for an event called Croquet and Rose. Julie was invited by her friend Emily, and was skeptical. Most of the boys learned how to play croquet while the girls found a spot on the patio to enjoy some wine. Unbeknownst to Brett, this is where it all began. The girls, led by Erica, decided that Julie and Brett may be a good fit and needed to meet. The group decided to continue the party in Westport, where they struck up a conversation. They continued to enjoy each other’s company the rest of the night. While going their separate ways, Julie got out of the car when Brett panicked that he didn’t have her number. She gladly came back to exchange information to see each other again. They continued to date for over two years before Brett took Julie to the location of their first date. This is where he would get on a knee to ask Julie the most important question of their lives.
