Julie and Bassel met volunteering at Camp No Limits, a camp for kids with limb loss and limb differences. At the time they were both in their respective prosthetic and orthotic residencies and Bassel asked Julie if she wanted to study for board exams. A month later they met at a café to study together. The first study session was all business, no small talk. But with each session after, there was a little less studying and a lot more chatting as they got to know each other. Their first offical date was dinner and a paint-and-sip class. The second was carving pumpkins and the third was a hike where they got very lost in the Post Falls Community Forest. Since then they've had lots of adventures together, many including Julie's dog, Ben, and visiting family in both Michigan and California.
