We met at a party for Halloween 2017. A friend of Julie's brought her with to meet a guy she was interested in whom Andy was friends with. Julie was dressed as The Dude from the Big Lebowski and Andy was dressed as Fidel Castro. Andy wanted to start a beer pong competition with the styrofoam cups he brought for the party, which Julie made fun of Andy for thinking those cups would work. A few months later, we met at another party where Andy did an amazing magic trick (his words) and we became fast friends. We bonded over our food chain appreciation (shout out Culver's!) and our love of the Doughboys podcast. After two years of being good friends, we decided to start our relationship, which coincidentally is related to the Tenuta's trip Julie took Andy.
As most of you know, we started planning this wedding several months before we actually got engaged. We had the venue, DJ, and photographer picked out before we were officially engaged. We actually did our food tasting the night before Andy popped the question. We had planned a trip to Milwaukee and Chicago to see the Doughboys podcast live, but unfortunately, the shows were cancelled. We decided to go anyway and take a mini vacation. On Friday night in our hotel room in Milwaukee, we were getting ready to go out to dinner and the Bucks game. Julie was commenting on how she didn't have a Bucks shirt to wear. Andy pulled out a new Bucks shirt and gave it to her. While she was looking at it, Andy pulled out a WalMart silicone ring and got down on one knee and asked Julie to marry him. She exclaimed "Oh No!" and fell to the ground. She said yes after coming out of shock and we had a nice bottle of champagne. We then went to a Brazilian steak house and the Bucks game. The next day we went down to Chicago to check out the Shedd aquarium, Second City Improv theater, and ate Mexican and Italian food. Two weeks later, when the actual ring was finished, Andy proposed again with it. He created his own version of Wordle with the solution being Marry. When Julie solved it, Andy was down on one knee again and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes a second time!
