We’re getting married!!

We met through a mutual friend (Sarah, who is marrying us!) at a restaurant in Worcester. We were there in a group setting and had no idea we would meet and fall in love that night! At the end of the evening Ryan asked if he could walk me to my car where he asked to kiss me. As I was driving home I thought, “I really can’t wait for that guy to call or text me” and then it hit me, he never asked for my number! I searched for him on social media from the group event we were at and messaged him like, “what’s the deal?!” He explained he was so nervous that he forgot to ask (so cute). Fast forward five years to August 2021. We’re expecting our first child together when Ryan asked me if I wanted to go to dinner. It was summer, I was pregnant and hot, and already on the couch for the night. But, given that kid free nights are rare for us, I agreed and he suggested this new restaurant that had recently opened up in the location where we met. While we were at dinner he reminded me that this was kind of like our anniversary dinner because we had met there in August back in 2016. At the end of dinner he asked if he could walk me to my car. I was all, “are you seriously going to make me walk all the way over there (to where my car had been parked that first night)?” So we did and he asked to kiss me, just like the night we met, and then said, “I won’t forget the second question this time.” I thought, “my number? Man he’s really taking this that far?!” Then he got down on one knee. I was taken by total surprise and of course I cried so hard that I could barely see what the ring looked like - but, I said “YES!”
