Maid of Honor
My sister and best friend... We lived in different parts of the world for nearly 14 years (me in the UK and her in the US). By some miracle, I managed to convince her to come to Sydney when we moved out here 2 years ago (then the UK when we moved back here in 2020) and I'm so glad I did! It was as if we've never been apart ;)
Best Man
Joe and I met at Sheffield University, where we had a lot of good nights, bad hangovers and even occasionally studied Chemistry together. For reasons I don't really remember, we thought we hadn't quite had enough of a bad influence on each other, so decided it would be a good idea for two of Lancashire's finest to move down to London's most glamorous hotspot of Bromley-by-Bow. I don't think he's ever truly forgiven me for convincing him that auditing was a good place to start his career, but the fact that he's agreed to be my best man suggests that our friendship is stronger than most.
Bridesmaid
Jane and I met at Warwick 12 years ago and immediately became best friends. We have seen each other at our best and worst, supporting each other even when we are half the world apart. So of course I have to have her by my side when I say I do (:
Groomsman
To say Adam and I grew up together would be an understatement. Life was hard on the mean streets of St. Helens but together we made it through, adapting seamlessly to the regional pastimes of rugby league and alcohol. He's always been there to pick up the pieces when I've gone down the wrong path in life, mostly because it was usually his idea in the first place, and for me that's the definition of a true friend.
