Julia and Noah's journey began over a decade ago at a youth group event in 2011 where they instantly clicked, though it took a little while for their story to really unfold. They found themselves in the same orbit of friends, spending several school breaks and every summer from 2013 onward together at their beloved overnight summer camp, GUCI. In the summer of 2016, Julia and Noah began to discover a deeper connection through inside jokes and countless conversations that lasted until sunrise. Despite being in different states for college, they always found their way back to each other. After spending time together at a camp wedding in September of 2017, surrounded by friends in a place special to them, they both realized there was something more between them worth exploring. From there, life seemed to conspire to keep them apart physically, with Julia pursuing her nursing degree in Charleston while Noah was living in Chicago, then in medical school in Ann Arbor. The distance only made the times they spent together that much sweeter until Julia eventually joined Noah in Ann Arbor after graduating- a move that marked the beginning of shared adventures in a city that quickly became their home. Ann Arbor became their new happy place, where they cultivated a space brimming with laughter, love, and unexpected togetherness (thanks, COVID!). Eventually it’s where they welcomed their rescue, Millie, into their lives and learned they could handle just about anything when they had to tackle the biggest challenge to their relationship to date: potty training. Now, firmly rooted in Chicago, they're savoring every moment as they prepare to embark on their next chapter as husband and wife. From exploring new eateries to navigating life's twists and turns, Julia and Noah continue to find joy in each other's (and Millie’s) company, proving that sometimes the best love stories are written over years of friendship, laughter, and a shared appreciation for almost a decade of time spent together.
