It all started at the Shorefront Y, where Julia and Richard were on the senior swim team 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️. At first, they were just teammates—competitive, focused, and always trying to beat each other’s lap times ⏱️. But outside the pool, a friendship quickly began to take shape 🤝. They happened to live just a block apart 🏠🏢, and over time, what started as casual run-ins and spontaneous meetups turned into long walks on the boardwalk 🌅 and endless conversations about everything and nothing 💬✨. They’d walk circles around their neighborhood just to spend more time together 👫. Some of their favorite memories from that phase are of late nights talking and laughing on Julia’s front porch 🌙💭, watching and rewatching Friends thousands of times 📺🦞, and prank calling everyone they knew 😄❤️. Even when they were with other people, if they saw each other, there was a magnetic pull 🧲—they’d break into a full sprint toward one another 💃🏃‍♂️, grinning like it had been weeks since they'd seen each other 😄. That kind of connection doesn’t come around often 💞. Eventually, after years of friendship—and some subtle hints from Richard 😉—he built up the courage to ask Julia out 🍿. From that point on, everything just clicked 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻🪄💫✨. What had already been natural and strong only grew deeper, evolving into a loving relationship built on trust, laughter, and unwavering support 💪💖. Over the years, they’ve been each other’s rocks—comforting one another 🤗, lifting each other up 🌟, and loving each other unconditionally 💞♾️. They've now been together for eight and a half years, and through it all, their love has only grown stronger. Knowing in his heart that she was the one, Richard took the next leap and asked Julia to spend forever with him, and she said yes💍!!! Now, they’re getting married 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️🥂🍾, and while those swim team days might feel like a lifetime ago, the feeling they had running up to each other on the boardwalk never faded away 💖.
