We first met Sophomore year of college in Dixon Hall at Kutztown University through a mutual friend. After seeing each other briefly, through passing, we became comfortable enough to add each other on Facebook. Since 2013, we remained friends on Facebook, occasionally liking each other's posts. On August 19th, 2024, Patrick reached out via Facebook Messenger and we sparked conversation about catching up in person. For our first date, we decided to meet up and grab lunch on a Saturday at Ye Ol’ Spring Tavern Inn - the same place Patrick’s parents had their wedding reception. The second date followed quickly after, on the next day. We enjoyed kayaking on Lake Tobyhanna and grabbing dinner at a local tavern afterwards. We did not want our weekend together to end. Our chemistry was perfect, we clicked right off the bat. Though we were three hours apart, Patrick in Quakertown PA & Julia in Washington DC, we jumped both feet into a long distance relationship (September 28, 2024). Evidence that distance makes the heart grow fonder with the right person. On August 6th, 2025, we made our way to Au Train Michigan to visit Uncle Andy & Aunt Joan in the Upper Peninsula. Staying about a five minute walk away from Lake Superior, it was the perfect place to propose. Lake Superior will always be a memorable place in our hearts with it being the spot where we officially committed to marrying each other. We are simply "Old Soul" Soulmates, excited and happily ready to continue our love story together until we are old and gray. We envision a future full of more hikes together, sharing our love for similar music, growing fresh produce for our family, and having little ones to call us "Mommy & Daddy".
