The Wellborn, built in 1883 and situated in a Victorian garden, is the oldest house in Orlando. It is now a boutique 20-room hotel with a garden and bar which provides an intimate atmosphere. It is in a quieter part of Downtown Orlando and sits a bit farther from the walkable area of Orange Ave, but it is the site of the optional welcome gathering. Please be aware that some noise from the nearby Dr Phillips House wedding venue may occur, though it typically ends by 11 PM. If you are interested in booking the Wellborn, I recommend that you book soon as it is a small hotel with only 20 rooms. Note about Areas to Stay

The Orlando Science Center is located near Downtown Orlando, College Park (Thiemo's hometown), and Ivanhoe Village. We recommend staying in or near these areas, and we’ve provided hotel suggestions accordingly. If you plan to visit Disney, Universal, or other theme parks, please consider travel time on the day of the wedding. Lake Buena Vista and Kissimmee are popular tourist hubs but can require 30 minutes to an hour to reach Downtown Orlando, depending on traffic.
