Bride
Father of the Bride
The best Dad a girl could ask for! On the night of our engagement, he twirled me around the kitchen as we danced to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.
Mother of the Bride
My mom had to kiss my hand every morning before Elementary School and say "promise it will stick" because I always hated leaving her!
Flower Girl
I nannied this sweet baby girl during my Senior year at UA. Griffin and I couldn't love her more! I swear she's said "Jooge" before and she knows how to walk now!! Our favorite activities in the Fall/Spring of this past year included Monarch hangs (her parents' coffee shop), walking the stroller to go see the park fountain, and playing in her room on the floor!
Maid of Honor
My older sister who I always wanted to be like when growing up and who I always steal clothes from ;) We shared a room when we were little even though we both had our own rooms..
Maid of Honor
My little sister who hated when we would call her "cute" as a baby. We sleep in the same bed every Christmas Eve since I can remember!
Bridesmaid
We met in Middle School, were both clarinets in the band, cheered together, did show choir and babysat together. We have A LOT in common including our clumsiness and forgetfulness!
Bridesmaid
We are best friends who love to sing old Taylor Swift songs and attempt to harmonize in the car. I think my mom loves DP more than me (kidding but not really)
Bridesmaid
Lurn and I give each other the "Most Perfect Hug" because she is so short her head fits right under my chin. We both were Marketing majors and had the same outlook on school... Ask her what college we were in.
Bridesmaid
Sweet "Tron" (her nickname). She is a constant, loving friend who is always there for you. When I think of her, I think of flowers and the "Friends" theme song. We both love the simple things in life. We met in college but it feels like we've known each other for years!
Bridesmaid
We were blessed to spent most of college living with each other!!! From being roommates Junior year, to traveling to Greece for study abroad, to summer school, to Senior year living in a house together - let's just say we could truly be sisters at this point. We both love chocolate ice cream, staying in, red wine, and doggies!
Bridesmaid
Rilo would drive me to Spangle practice sophomore year of high school and became besties ever since. We were so close that we were content riding in silence to and from practice. At the time we didn't know this, but we are both Nines on the Enneagram - which would explain a lot. Rilo brings out my goofy side and is a constant, loving friend to all.
Bridesmaid
CB!! We were college roommates and are both obsessed with Ed Sheeran, Disney World, fashion, and quality life talks. We have been on big trips together including Israel and NYC!!
Bridesmaid
Tay Tay is my biggest cheerleader. We met in college thanks to her now fiancé, Carter Helm! She is my go to person to talk about all things wedding and big life goals. She is intentional when she listens and gives really sound advice. She would always stn with me when she would visit Ttown!
Bridesmaid
She is the person I spilled my whole life story out to the first time we hung out. B is so wise and is someone I look up to when it comes to leadership. We were not only college roommates but would actually spend the night together even though we lived together. We both love Monarch coffee, long walks, taking random pictures and driving around blasting music.
Bridesmaid
Anna Grace (aka "noo noos") and I met on our study abroad trip Summer 2019 to Greece! We actually met in the airport and were inseparable ever since! Our goofiness bounces off of each other and I am so thankful she is a student at UA so were able to continue making each other laugh!
Bridesmaid
MV!!!! She is Griffin's cousin (more like his sister) and we met at Shades Cahaba Elementary. She is so funny and could walk on her hands as a 3rd grader (she did competitive gymnastics). My favorite memory I have when we were little is playing the card game James Bond in the floor of her room for hours (and yes, she always beat me).
Groom
Groomsman
My dad, coach, and financial advisor all in one. He still thinks I had a shot at playing in the pros on Sundays. He also only drinks beer when I'm home because he knows it's my drink of choice (IPA's only). He acts tough but wait until he's watching Field of Dreams or About Time. Clete Walker is a sweetheart, ladies and gentleman.
Mother of the Groom
Through football, baseball, basketball, show choir, or whatever it was this woman was always there. My mom is accountable, wise, full of grace, and loves the way Jesus has taught us to. She has reminders set on her iPad to pray daily for each of her boys, her husband, and others. On top of all that, I'm thankful to have a mom that is also a world class friend.
Best Man
I've only known him for three years, but we've already lived in Northern California (JH Ranch) and Gisenyi, Rwanda together. He taught me how to surf in Arctic currents off the coast of Oregon, he will gladly walk you through the art of spearfishing, and he will fervently and boldly pray for you. He's extremely accountable, he points me to Christ, and he's my brother for eternity.
Groomsman
After sharing a room for the first ten years of my life, I decided I wanted my own "big kid" room and to be away from Wesley. About a month into it, I moved back in with my big brother and we shared a room right up until he left for college. Obviously I can't live without him.
Groomsman
My little brother's baby fat finally left his cheeks at the age of 15 (he's 18) and now he's kind of a mini me. When people tell me "you and Caleb are the exact same person," I'm so freakin honored.
Groomsman
He lived down the street from me my whole life and his family (all seven of them) are my extended family. From third grade on, Jake and I were kind of a package deal. Now I have to fight for time with him because everyone else realizes what an amazing human he is.
Groomsman
My cousin that I only get to see a few times a year due to his current residence in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I've looked up to him for quite some time now and seek his counsel regularly. He lives for the joys of life and cares deeply for anyone he comes in contact with. I'm thankful for his passion for Jazz Rap, his appreciation of conversation over beer/coffee, and that he listens to podcasts/music that I send to him.
Groomsman
If I'm looking to scheme free tickets to a concert or a football game, or even a plane ticket, Uncle Funlap is my go to. Together, we are two of the cheapest young men around, but we always make a good time happen. You can always find him in the front yard of 409 Caplewood Drive, shirtless, beer in hand, welcoming anyone (or thing) that makes its way down the greatest street in Tuscaloosa.
Groomsman
Cole is thoughtful, intentional, kind, and has the most bizarre sense of humor. I have learned so much about myself, others, and the Lord through my friendship with Cole. We also share an uncanny fondness regarding Charlottesville, Virginia's (and maybe the World's) best biscuit.
Groomsman
We balled our eyes out when we had to leave each other after three months together at JH Ranch. That's the type of friend Cam is. I can be myself around him, vulnerable with tears and all, and he welcomes me. We have a killer handshake and there's no telling what can happen on a dance floor with the two of us out there.
Groomsman
He walked into my house sophomore year as one of my "pledges." We are leaving Tuscaloosa and The University of Alabama and he is one of my greatest friends. He gets hooked on one rap song at a time, he sometimes stays up til 3 am on TikTok, and he has absolutely insane dance moves. BOLT UP!
Groomsman
I thought he was the weirdest guy ever with his glasses, fist pumping to EDM music, and plethora of soccer jerseys. To this day, Sam and I could not be more different and yet he was one of my greatest friends at The University of Alabama. We challenge one another but are able to love and respect (ruh rah) each other at the exact same time. Julianne and I are considering throwing out the wedding band and letting DJ Perry drop his beats (but really he has his own turntable).
Groomsman
I'm confident we are going to see this guy on ESPN down the road. He has his own podcast, he's regularly featured on Tuscaloosa's local television and radio stations, and he once spent $90 on a lift pass in Utah only to give up on skiing after an hour and a half. This guy has one of the kindest and purest hearts of anyone you'll meet.
Groomsman
My roommate of three years and one of my first college friends. I spent each of these three years doing my best to distract him from any form of productive activity so that we could enjoy a game of Madden, new music, or an ice cold beer together. At time he's hard to find due to his passion for camouflaged clothing. He knows the Word of God better than most and I can always count on him for some productive theological discussion.
