Question

How will guests get to and from the venues?

Answer

Guests should arrange their own travel to Hopkinton. For the reception, a shuttle will be available to take guests back to nearby hotels (including Manchester, Dubuque, Monticello, Dyersville, and surrounding areas); the shuttle fee is $15 per person. If you need a ride from your hotel to the ceremony or reception, please contact Esther at (608) 732-8597 in advance so we can coordinate with the driver. We want everyone to celebrate safely—please do not drive if you’ve been drinking. Note: guests are responsible for arranging transportation back to the venue the next morning to retrieve their vehicles.

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our celebration an adults-only evening. The only children in attendance will be those taking part in our ceremony. Thank you for understanding and making a night of it with us!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

If you are invited to the ceremony, please plan to arrive 10 - 15 minutes early to allow time for seating. Reception-only guests may arrive at the start of cocktail hour.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is Boho Semi-Formal with a fall-inspired feel. Think comfortable, flowy, and polished. Please refer to our Dress Code section for full details and color guidelines.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outdoors and reception and dinner indoors. October weather in Iowa can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or layer for the evening. Reception will be mainly inside.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We kindly ask that guest keep phones away during the ceremony so we can all be fully present. We hired a professional photographer AND videographer to capture those wonderful moments. You're welcome to take photos during the reception.

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking will be available at the venue. However, we highly encourage using the shuttle service for convenience and safety.

Open Bar & Drinks

Answer

We will have an open bar available during the reception up to a certain maximum. Once that limit is reached drinks will be available for purchase. After open bar limit: Beer: $5 Mixed/Seltzers: $6 Pop and Water: $1 Please note: Outside drinks are not allowed at the venue. We want everyone to have a fun and safe celebration, and this system helps us make sure drinks are available for everyone while keeping things organized.

Plus-Ones

Answer

If your invitation does not include a plus-one, please do not assume one is allowed. Our venue has a maximum capacity, and we need an accurate headcount to plan for everyone comfortably. If you would like to request a plus-one, please contact Esther at (608)732-8597 to get it added. Otherwise, we will not be expecting guest beyond what is listed in your invitation. Thank you for helping us keep our celebration safe and enjoyable for all attendees!
