Cameron and Julianne’s story started with a swipe—though neither expected much at first. Both had occasionally scrolled through dating apps without much luck and eventually deleted them. But Cameron couldn’t quite forget Julianne, having followed her on Instagram just before losing touch. For six months, he watched her updates, often liking posts or commenting on her stories, especially if her dog Rory made an appearance (Click on the gallery tab for proof 🤪). Determined to finally meet her, he kept trying to catch her attention, and eventually, it worked. Julianne had just moved into her first apartment with her best friend, Caitlyn, when she decided to accept Cameron’s invitation for a coffee date. Originally, he’d suggested an F45 workout and coffee afterward, but meeting for a workout didn’t seem like the ideal first impression, so they planned for a Sunday brunch instead. Ironically, both went out the night before and decided to reschedule. When their first date finally happened, they initially met at Ale Emporium, only to find there were no seats. They decided to try a new spot and drove side-by-side to The District Tap, where, at a stoplight, Julianne glanced over and flashed a peace sign at Cameron through her car window. Cameron says that little moment was when he knew this was going to be something special. Over dinner, they clicked instantly, talking about family, career dreams, adventure plans, and, of course, Rory. Julianne ended the night by mentioning she had a packed schedule for the next month but loved her time with him. Afterward, Julianne canceled on Cameron twice, feeling nervous about how serious her feelings were becoming. Cameron told her later that if she’d canceled one more time, he wouldn’t have rescheduled. Fortunately, her friends encouraged her to give it another go, and on their next date at Dave & Buster’s, they had a blast. Cameron won every game, never letting Julianne win once, setting the tone for their playful dynamic. From there, their relationship grew naturally. They introduced each other to their friends, found their favorite date spots, and built lasting memories. About a month later, Cameron invited Julianne over for a home-cooked meal and surprised her by asking if she’d be his girlfriend. She turned around to see him standing with flowers, her favorite candy, and a Starbucks gift card—the perfect answer was "yes."

At the time of their wedding, Julianne and Cameron will have been together nearly four years. In that time, they’ve moved in together, bought a home, celebrated career milestones, and built a circle of friends and family who love joining them for game nights, Cameron’s famous smoked Old Fashioneds, and his impressive cooking skills. Cameron has also gone from being Rory’s “stepdad” to his official “adoptive dad”—a promotion Rory enthusiastically approved. Julianne and Cameron consider themselves the perfect yin and yang. They share the same values where it counts, and where they differ, they push each other to grow. They’re constantly inspired to be better for themselves and each other, and they’re beyond excited to keep doing that in marriage.
