The wedding reception will end at 10pm.
The venue is allowing guests to leave their cars overnight if they are unable to drive home. The roads from the venue back to town are very curvy and it would be very dangerous and irresponsible to attempt to drive after drinking.
If you plan to uber home after the ceremony, we ask that you reach out and call an uber at 9pm. That gives you and the uber about an hour to find one and for them to make it out to the venue by 10pm
Unfortunately not. We had to purchase an alcohol event license to serve alcohol at the reception. That license only allows alcohol that is served by a licensed bartender. We have been informed by our venue team that any liquor or alcohol brought, opened, and being consumed by guests will be taken until the end of the night (eye roll). It is a bummer I'm sure but we don't want to be charged any more than we already are for not adhering to the venues requests.
Carpooling is always a smart choice! If you are able to coordinate with other guests, try to ride together!
If you are from out of town or live a little far or just want to go out downtown after the wedding, we have listed some suggestions on the travel page for the surrounding area. However, Bobby and I will be getting a room the night of the wedding at a hotel downtown. We booked a room at the Kimpton Hotel Arras downtown. If you would like to book a room in the same hotel as us or the surrounding hotels downtown we would love that! We can mingle, get drinks and go downtown all while maintaining a safe distance! The Four Points by Sheraton is also a great affordable choice downtown!
We prefer that our wedding be kid free if possible. The only children that will be there are going to be our flower girls and ring bearer. We ask that you make arrangements for child care prior to the wedding.
The weather states that as of right now it will be mid 60's on the 27th! Lets hope it stays that way! But it is expected to drop close to the 40's when the sun sets so we suggest to bring a wrap or jacket just in case you get cold! We will have a few fires going as well as heaters so hopefully our efforts will keep you nice and toasty!
You do you boo but don't do it at the wedding.
