Kelsi and Julianne first met playing soccer when they were in middle school. They soon discovered their love for all things animals and became inseparable. They rode horses together, captured frogs/turtles/you name it together, played with hamsters, ducks, bunnies, cats, dogs... the list goes on and on. They were always in search of the next animal to rescue or snuggle. As they grew older, their friendship continued to grow as they took family trips together, always being confused as sisters and never ceasing to make friends and unforgettable memories along the way. There is never a dull moment when these two are together... that is for sure.
Cody Thompson
Best Man
Ah, where to begin… August 28th, 1987 would probably be best. Cody and Adam have been close since the day he was born and today, he’s the best man. These two are so similar you’d think they’re the same person; they even share the same addictions! What addictions you might ask? Things like camping in sub zero weather, riding ATVs until they can’t feel their arms and legs, abusing their daily drivers, and shooting enough ammo to outfit an entire army to name a few. Adam couldn’t be happier to call his little brother his best man. Adam was Cody’s best man for his wedding on July 20th, 2016 when he married Janna.
Whitney Wilson

Whitney and Julianne met while working for a federal client at Deloitte Consulting. They soon realized they had a shared interest in not only consulting work, but also travel and all things outdoors and food. Whitney introduced Julianne to the world of hot peppers, exotic cheese plates, gutting fish, and primitive camping. Over the past couple of years, Julianne has grown extremely close to Whitney, knowing she is always up for an adventure - doesn't matter if it is hiking through the woods, kayaking down a river in an inflatable kayak, or sleeping in a cabin with no water or electricity - Whitney will be there, cheese in hand.
Rouse Slape

Rouse and Adam haven’t known each other very long, but quickly realized they were cut from the same cloth the first time they met. These two enjoy just about everything together and Adam has learned a lot from him. Rouse is they guy who shows up to every gathering with exotic meats and the best cheese & veggie trays, guaranteed to win you over. He’s the best at creating 5 star meals using just a campfire and a homemade smoker.
Sarah Davis

Sarah and Julianne met for the first time at a JMU party - they were sitting on a couch as strangers at the beginning, but by the end of the party, were giving each other serious life advice. From then, they continued to hang out through college, became roommates during their first year in the "real world" in Northern Virginia, and celebrated the marriage of Sarah and her husband Kevin just last year. These two LOVE cats...arts and crafts, Trader Joes, a good sale, and wine nights. One day, Julianne will convince Sarah to go camping with her...maybe.
Chris Wareing

Are you all right, mate!? Chris is Adam’s token British friend and the sole reason why Adam annoys us with his version of a British accent (it has a bit of an Australian twist). Adam first met Chris at work and quickly discovered that he is the British version of himself. They make their works trips seem like vacations and both agree you’re never to old to ride a skateboard.
Colleen Crist

Colleen and Julianne have been friends since high school, initially bonding in JV soccer at James River High School. Living right down the street from on another, these two grew very close. From attending homecoming together, to taking a cruise to Key West, to standing by Colleen's side for her wedding just three years ago, these two continue to remain close. Although they live hours apart, they continue to make time to be there for one another, picking up their last conversation like no time has passed.
Heath Hohensee

Heath and Adam met through the union of their siblings and Adam would not be where he is today without him. From turning wrenches to help with Adam’s jeep build to giving him a roof over his head, Heath has always come through for Adam when he needed it most. Adam was a groomsman for Heath’s weeding on July 4th, 2015 when he married Rebecca.
Summer Dawson

Summer and Julianne met back in high school and immediately became friends. From football games, to backyard hangouts, to road trips to visit other friends, they continue to grow closer. These two have overcome many similar hurdles in their personal lives that they have consistently supported one another through, always making an effort to see one another when they are in town to catch-up (preferably over Starbucks coffee, of course). These two should really write a book to capture all the random ailments they have overcome over the years!
Henry Hillmann

Like every other fine relationship out there, Henry and Adam met online, and after the first date, they were bros for life. Adam was looking for a roommate some time ago on Craigslist and Henry fit the bill perfectly. They enjoy just about everything together, from chess matches that go on for way too long to playing golf from sun up to sun down usually being asked to please stop and turn in the golf cart. They’ve even been known to play 54 holes in one day!
Jessie Bayliss

Jessie is Julianne's longest friend, spanning all the way back to 2nd grade at Bettie Weaver Elementary. These two have taken trips all over the country together, visiting the beaches of San Diego to the beaches of OBX. Their families have grown close from the years of soccer games, girl scout events, and chili cook offs. There is not a year that goes by that these girls do not have a special memory together, with Julianne standing next to Jessie as she married the love of her life just a year ago! Next up - the dream of raising their kids together!
Zach Pogue

Zach and Adam, from DC drag queen shows to camping in the mountains of West Virginia, they do it all together. They’ve known each other almost the entire time Adam has been in DC and have relied on one another during it all. Zach has become a Thompson favorite winning over the entire family with his charm and charisma.
Nicole Walter

Nicole and Julianne met playing soccer on the unforgettable team, Green Lightning. They grew up playing soccer every weekend together, ending games with giant meals and happy hearts. All through high school these two remained close, attending sports events and dances together, spending any free time they had with friends and family. As time has passed and Julianne moved away for college and work, Julianne and Nicole continue to support one another through life's greatest moments - buying first homes and remodeling them, getting married, growing our families (puppies and kittens included - oh and chickens!). Julianne cannot wait to be there for Nicole's first baby girl this Spring!
Devren Davis

Devren and Adam met in early 2010 when Adam first moved to the DC area and he knew right away they were going to be friends for life. He’s basically the third Thompson brother. They both served in the Navy and have had similar paths of success after the Navy. They both share a love for camping, shooting (at targets...), and anything outdoors. Adam was Devren’s best man for his wedding over one year ago when he married Megan.
Jay Lee

Jay and Julianne met at JMU when they lived in the same dorm on East Campus. They both shared a passion for running and science which led them to enjoy many study sessions together throughout college. Once graduating, they both headed to DC to start their careers, ending up in the same apartment building in Merrifield just a year later. This led to regular thai-filled girls nights, long runs to relieve life stress, and Jay convincing Julianne to take a break from her chaotic work-life every once in awhile to enjoy some local venues (breweries, wineries, concerts). Thanks to Jay, Julianne has gotten to meet so many great people and experience way more live music/events in the city than she ever would have on her own because as we all know - Julianne hates the city.

Raaaandy and Adam, Woody and Buzz, Kirk and Spock, Harry and Ron. Well, you get the picture. Upon the first meeting of these two, a beautiful bromance was born and they have been inseparable ever since. Randy has always been the voice of reason for Adam in all aspects of his life and has never been afraid to be brutally honest with him. It meant the world to Adam when Randy said that Julianne was the one. Adam will be Randy’s best man when he gets married (TBD).
