“Tomas and I met over Wildcat Weekend before starting our freshman year, although we didn't really become friends until one Thursday lunch before getting ready to go out and party for the weekend. We met because it turned out that a whole group of us had the same birthday. Then completely on accident during conversation I started copying Tomas's accent. I apologized but he thought it was hilarious. We decided then to go out to the party together and pretend to be cousins. Me of course now having to do an accent the entire night. We ended up meeting a lot of people who would then become some of our best friends yet all of them thought we were related and that I was half Colombian. Since that night Tomas had been one of my best friends at JWU and one of my best friends still to this day.”
