We're getting married!

How We Met: Our love story began in the mountains of Utah — though we never actually made it skiing. In winter 2023, our mutual friend and now officiant, Gina, brought some friends together for a weekend in Park City. Neither of us were looking for a relationship, but life had other plans. We spent it bar hopping, laughing until our sides hurt, and talking late into the night. At one point, Jules even ran into her cousin Camille, making the night feel like fate was working overtime. By the end of the trip, we both knew something special had started. Long-Distance to San Francisco: After Park City, real life hit — Jules to Salt Lake City and Justin to San Francisco. Long-distance meant a lot of late-night phone calls, text threads that went on forever, and weekends filled with airports and reunions. It wasn’t always easy, but it gave us a foundation of trust and excitement for what was ahead. Six months later, Jules made the leap and moved back to San Francisco, where we officially started building our life together! Life in the city has given us countless little adventures — walks to Crissy Field, park days at Golden Gate Park and Fort Mason, dinners with friends, and more nights than we can count at our favorite spot, Original Joe’s. Starting our Family: Around the same time Jules moved back to San Francisco, we welcomed Goose into our lives. From day one, he became the center of our little family - covering the floors in fur, stealing Jules for all the morning snuggles, and turning every outing into a puppy playdate. Justin swore he’d be the “tough” parent, but Goose proved otherwise – he’s protective for sure, but also the biggest softy. Goose also became Jules’ loyal In-N-Out buddy - he never misses a pup patty run. And since his official name is Goose Qvistgaard, he’ll be the one to proudly keep the Qvistgaard name alive in our family - even after Jules becomes a Rossi. We truly can’t imagine our story without Goosey - he’s the glue, the comic relief, and the best decision we ever made. Shared Roots: Although we met in Utah, our roots were much closer. Justin grew up in Fair Oaks and Gold River, and Jules grew up in Davis — just a short drive away. We never crossed paths growing up, although it's likely Jules ran into Justin when he worked at Abercrombie & Fitch at Arden Fair Mall… But our shared Sacramento history and family-centered values gave us so much common ground. Bringing our families together has been one of the most rewarding and favorite parts of our story. Our Adventures: Travel quickly became one of our favorite parts of life together. We’ve shared family trips to Telluride and Puerto Vallarta, soaked up the sun in Hawaii with friends, summer & winter weekends in Tahoe, explored Ireland’s rolling hills (& got engaged!) and, most memorably, fallen in love with Italy. That first trip to Puglia left us enchanted — with the olive groves, the whitewashed stone towns, and the long dinners under string lights. It was at Masseria Calderisi that we realized: “this is where we want to say ‘I do’.” Looking Ahead: Our journey has taken us from Park City to San Francisco, from airports and long-distance calls to family dinners and international adventures. Along the way, we’ve built a life we love — one full of laughter, travel, and the everyday joy of just being together. And so, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, we can’t wait to begin our next chapter at a place that already feels like home and fall in love all over again. Ci vediamo in Puglia!
