We met on Facebook... yes Facebook. I was scrolling through my timeline and saw this handsome specimen of a man who happened to post a picture of himself on "Beard Game Matters". Immediately I went to his page to check him out. Handsome, funny, humble and smart. I decided to throw caution to the wind and went back to comment on his post.... I took a deep breath and began to type the following words... "Hi". (that's it). The next morning I awoke to a message from him. My heart fluttered as we engaged in conversations from texting to video chatting for hours on end. I was falling... HARD. After only 3 days he told me that he was going to give me his last name (game right?) But after 5 days he told me he loved me. I was floored and didn't know what to do. I liked him A LOT! But was scared to love him. So I told him that we couldn't move forward with a relationship. It hurt me to say it and even though it hadn't been a whole week and I'd never touched him physically, somehow he still managed to touch me mentally and spiritually and I just couldn't just let him go. Even though technically I ended things we still talked every single day. From sun up to sun down about anything, everything and nothing. A few weeks later he asked me to reconsider "Us" and I happily obliged. Months later he flew me to Ghana to where I met his beautiful family who welcomed me with warm embraces and loving smiles. To see his mother smile and tell him that he was glowing made me blush like a school girl. A few days later he sat next to me and explained that in his culture when a man introduces the woman he is with to his family, more so his parents that is his way of letting them all know that she is "The One" and asked if I would be his wife. Of course I said YES! And we haven't looked back since... We are looking forward to sharing our journey with all of our family and friends. Thank you for all of your love and support... Stay tuned. The BEST is yet to come!
