Depending on how much time you have, we recommend staying a night in Seattle either on the front or back end of your trip. Pike Place Market is famous and should be explored. We love for Le Panier breakfast and it's close to the first Starbucks. Matt's in the Market, Maximilien, Seattle Dumpling CO, Din Tai Fung, and Elliott's Oyster house are some of our favorite restaurants nearby. Space Needle Mariners Game
Washington Park sits on a peninsula at the west end of Fidalgo Island. The 220-acre city park features camping, a boat launch, day use picnic sites and a group tenting area. A scenic paved 2.2-mile loop road winds through the park’s forested hills and meadows with views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains. There are multiple rocky beaches to explore as well.
Check out the iconic view from the bridge or explore the trails. Our favorite trail is Lighthouse Point via Bowman Bay (2-3miles) or if you are looking for a longer hike start at Rosario Beach (5 miles)
Samish Oyster Bar at Taylor Shellfish is a perfect afternoon outing with more than just fresh seafood to offer! Enjoy the scenic trip along Chuckanut drive on your way there and feast on a variety of oysters or Dungeness crab at their waterfront picnic area, overlooking Samish bay. It’s great for large groups and families.
