While Miquella was working at her first job in Idaho Falls, Planet Fitness, Julian was a regular at the gym with his boss, Mike. Mike attempted to help ease open the door of opportunity, but when it was obvious both of us were too shy, so Mike finally just gave Miquella Julian’s number, and said “just give him a chance, he’s a good guy.” Miquella then texted her opening line, “sooo Mike’s your wingman?” And the rest is history.

A quick weekend family trip to the Oregon Coast turned into one of the most unforgettable weekends. Friday morning Julian and Miquella were walking the beach hand in hand taking it all in when Miquella said “life with you is so fun.” The day went on and in the evening the rest of Julian’s family arrived. It was agreed that everyone wanted to go watch the sunset at the beach, so we loaded up and drove over. Once reaching the shore Julian said to Miquella, “aren’t you going to get your pictures?” So Miquella went to the shoreline and started to do so, and unbeknownst to her, Julian was waiting for her to turn around to see him knelt down on one knee. Miquella turned around and was in utter shock, while Julian asked “will you marry me?” Miquella immediately said “yes” and started to cry tears of joy, and Julian stood to hug her and then whispered in her ear, “if life is fun with me, then let’s make it forever.”
