Getting from the Airport to Medellín There are several options to get from the airport into Medellín: private taxi (or Uber), shared taxi (colectivo), or bus. When you arrive at ground transportation, you’ll see several people asking if you need a taxi. The white taxis are the official airport service and cost about 90,000 COP (around $25 USD). If you walk a bit further along the sidewalk, you’ll find people organizing colectivos (shared taxis). These cost about 35,000 COP (roughly $9 USD) per person. The cheapest option is the bus, which currently costs 17,000 COP (about $4 USD). You’ll see people lined up for it near the curb. If you take a bus or colectivo, you’ll be dropped off near Centro Comercial San Diego, a shopping mall close to the city center. From there, you can take a yellow city taxi or call an Uber to reach your final destination.
