We met when we were just teenagers through mutual friends at the beach in Corpus Christi. What started as an instant friendship quickly became something neither of us could imagine living without. For an entire year, we were best friends before Julian asked Leah on their first date. During that season of friendship, Julian would come watch Leah dance in The Nutcracker, and little by little, God was already weaving our lives together in ways we did not yet understand. Only two weeks into dating, Julian told Leah he loved her, and from that moment on, everything felt easy, intentional, and centered around faith. Over the next four years, we grew up together, grew in our faith together, and built a relationship rooted in Christ. From Sunday Mass every week to quiet nights spent in adoration together, prayer became the foundation of our relationship and the center of our future marriage. One of our favorite things to do together is simply spending time together. Whether that means going to the movies, spending time with family, or sitting beside each other in church. Somewhere along the way, our families stopped feeling separate and became one big family filled with love, support, laughter, and faith. On Easter Sunday, surrounded by both of our families after Mass, Julian asked Leah to take a photo in front of the altar. He told her to look toward the altar while he took the picture. After a few seconds, he said, "I think I got it." When Leah turned around, Julian was down on one knee holding the ring. In the very place where we had prayed together so many times before God, we said yes to forever. We truly believe God placed us in each other’s lives at exactly the right time, and we cannot wait to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife.
