We’ve put together an interactive map to help you get around during our wedding weekend! It includes key spots like the ceremony location, nearby hotels, and some of our favorite places in the area.
A must-see for first-time visitors to DC! Take a scenic walk between the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and U.S. Capitol. It’s a great place for learning history, snapping photos, or taking a relaxing stroll.
DC is home to some of the best (and free!) museums — many are located along the National Mall. Our favorites include the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Air and Space Museum, and the National Museum of Natural History. Whether you’re into art, history, culture, or science, there’s something for everyone.
This one’s extra special — it’s where Julian proposed to Leah! Located in Wheaton, MD, Brookside Gardens is a beautifully maintained public garden with walking paths, ponds, seasonal blooms, and lots of romantic scenery. Worth the short drive for anyone who wants to see a meaningful piece of our story.
The pandas are back! This free zoo also features elephants, big cats, and more.
Right near the Capitol, this beautiful garden features tropical plants, orchids, rare species, and seasonal displays in both indoor and outdoor settings. It’s free to enter and a great spot for a slow morning or afternoon stroll.
Stroll through lush gardens, see the iconic Capitol Columns, and explore plant collections from around the world. This is a beautiful location where we took our engagement photos 😊.
One of our favorite places to go for a walk. This massive urban park is great for hiking, biking, or simply relaxing in nature. There are scenic trails, picnic spots, and even a planetarium.
The Wharf is a lively waterfront neighborhood with great restaurants, outdoor seating, music, and beautiful views of the Potomac. It’s perfect for relaxing by the water, grabbing drinks with friends, or catching a sunset.
A vibrant spot on the water with restaurants, outlet shops, a casino, and attractions — including a giant Ferris wheel. There’s often live music or events on weekends.
If you are staying closer to Baltimore, the Inner Harbor is a great option for exploration and eating amazing seafood. The Inner Harbor offers waterfront views, shops, restaurants, and attractions like the National Aquarium.
