This will ensure you arrive in time to catch the bus on Friday to take everyone to Cuernavaca, Mexico where the festivities will be held. We encourage our guests to fly in earlier to enjoy the Mexico City sites. Book your flights out of the Mexico City airport departing 5pm or later on Sunday November 27th. This will ensure you have enough time to take the bus back to Mexico City from the wedding venue and arrive at the airport for your flight. We recommend flying out at whatever time is convenient for you on Monday November 28th. ---- Español--- Si viajas desde otro país o eres cuate de la provincia, te recomendamos volar a ciudad de México el jueves 24 o antes si quieres turistear. Tendremos muchos amigos visitando y estamos organizando diferentes actividades para que se conozcan y disfruten la ciudad. Calcula tu vuelo de regreso el domingo 27 después de las 5pm, recuerda que el tráfico es un caos y no queremos que nadie pierda su vuelo o viaje de regreso, as í te dará tiempo de volver desde Cuernavaca a CDMX .

Travel to and from the Venue

----English---- We will organize a group tour bus that will depart Mexico City on Friday November 25th around 12p to take guests to the venue/hotel in Cuernavaca, Morelos. The drive is scenic and takes about two hours. We will organize a group bus back to Mexico City from Cuernavaca leaving after the hotel check out time on Sunday November 27th. ----Español---- Lo ideal es que hagan grupos para compartir auto e ir cantando a todo pulmón en la carretera, pero si llegaran a necesitar un aventón organizaremos el transporte que saldrá de CDMX el viernes 25 de noviembre al medio día, y regresará a la ciudad de México después del checkout en la hacienda el domingo 27. Más adelante les daremos costos y detalles de la salida.

Additional tips for traveling to Mexico City

Uber works perfectly in Mexico City, you do not need to rent a car. If you stay in the recommended neighborhoods you can walk comfortably to many sights. Check with your phone company before arriving to buy a short term international plan (one week roaming) or to change a US/Mex/Can plan. Credit cards are accepted at all formal businesses. If you want to purchase tacos in the street or souvenirs you will need cash. Lauren can get some for you, or check with your bank about international ATM fees. They have gotten cheaper and cheaper over the years and getting some petty cash out of an ATM is easy. You will need an updated passport to travel to Mexico. There are currently no COVID restrictions for Americans to enter Mexico. We will provide more information as we get closer to the event. Mexico City is on central time, it’s in the same time zone as Chicago. Drink only bottled water. You can brush your teeth, hands, and bathe in the tap water.
