A little about us...

Best Friends make the Best Partners

Some love stories begin with a glance across a crowded room. Ours began across a conference table - with a whiteboard, a vision, and two people who had no idea they were about to change each other's lives. We met when Justice was Director of Operations for an organization partnering with the non-profit Julian led. At the time, we were two ships passing - Justice running a million miles an hour, making sure everything and everyone was taken care of, and Julian quietly tucked in a corner, filling whiteboards with ideas that were bigger than the room could hold. We were in the same orbit, but not yet in each other's worlds. That changed when Justice was hired as Director of Operations for the parent company to Julian's non-profit. Suddenly, the work Julian had been doing in the background came into full view - high-impact, knowledge-centered, deeply community driven. The kind of work that doesn't just solve problems, it builds legacies. Justice didn't just want to support that work. She wanted to be a part of it. So when asked where she'd like to be placed, the answer was easy. She chose Julian's team. And that was the moment she started choosing Julian. What started as a professional partnership quickly became something neither of us had words for - a connection rooted in shared values, shared vision, and a shared belief that the work we do in our communities matters. We both believe in entrepreneurship not as a pursuit of personal gain, but as a vehicle for impact. We believe in creating opportunities that uplift the people around us, in passing down not just wealth but knowledge, and in building something that outlasts us. When we looked at each other, we didn't just see a partner - we saw a collaborator, a co-builder, someone who understood that a life well-lived is one spent in service to something greater than yourself. We knew it was real when we met each other's families. Julian spent Father's Day 2023 with Justice's people, and Justice spent Christmas 2023 with his - and in both moments, surrounded by the love and laughter of the families who made us who we are, everything clicked. Our families didn't just welcome us - they confirmed us. They have been the bedrock of everything. The ones who showed up when it was hard, who cheered loudest when it was good, who poured into us so that we could pour into each other and into the world. We would not be who we are without them, and we would not be here without you. Then the 23rd became our number. February 23rd, we moved in together - building our first home side by side. March 23rd, we found out we were expecting - a new kind of legacy on the way. May 23rd, Julian proposed — because some decisions don't need much time when you already know. November 23rd, our son was born - and our family of two became three. The 23rd has shown up for us over and over again, marking every milestone that matters. So it only felt right to celebrate our wedding on July 23rd - the next chapter in a story that keeps writing itself on that date. We have built something together that is bigger than the two of us - a family, a mission, a community, and now a marriage. To every person reading this: you are not just a guest at our wedding. You are part of the story. You are the village that raised us, challenged us, loved us through it, and cheered us forward. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you. With love, Justice & Julian 🌊
