DESERT WEDDING

It was the first-ever VR meetup held during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. Jessica noticed a strange looking VR demo in the corner, went right up to Julian and asked "What IS that?" They locked eyes and talked intensely about VR for what could have been an hour. Jessica and Julian would later talk everyday on Facebook, meet up again in the Bay area, then LA, then NYC, Skype/text/phone constantly...until Julian decided to move from NYC to LA in August 2014, to pursue his many dreams.

Jessica and Julian decided to go look for the famed poppies of the super bloom, at Chino Hills State Park. After about an hour of hiking and photographing poppies, Jessica said well, I guess we should be heading back. But Julian kept charging way ahead. Jessica caught up to him and said, "Where are you going?" Suddenly, in the middle of a meadow, Julian knelt down and presented Jessica with Bapa's (Jessica's mom's) beloved ring. Jessica was completely caught off guard. Julian had been trying to find a more private area of the park to propose, away from all the families instagramming their children in bunny outfits for Easter cards. Jessica teared up because of course, the answer was yes :-)
