Can you picture it? Someone that never wants to leave the dance floor meeting someone that dances when there's no music. Well that's exactly what happened! At a 2000's themed dance party on 11/23/2024. A party Julian was on the original guest list, but Deonna was a day of invite! And after a crazy long day, a party wasn't exactly what she had in mind for the rest of the night. But after some convincing from a friend she mustered up the energy to attend. That friend was right, she wouldn't have met her husband had she been home on the couch. Now, they officially met on the dance floor and without a word they were partners for the rest of the night. He would steal her move and she'd do the same but maybe a little better and that went on until the music stopped. With the music off the pair could now have a conversation that neither one would've imagined would be the start of it all. As she rambled off some grilling questions and he calmly answered each one the realization of potential could be felt. Numbers were exchanged, he walked her to her ride met some of her friends and sent her on her way. The first text was sent to notify of her arrival home and they haven't stopped talking since. Fast forward some weeks and he was inviting her to Pittsburgh for the first time. She met some of his friends and they made it official, they started dating 12/25/2024. As time went on, parents were met, congregations were introduced and all the while Julian and Deonna were strengthening their bond. It became evident that they were going to get engaged and marry each other, the question was when. Deonna’s one request was that she wanted to be surprised for the proposal. So the scheming began! After some conversations between Julian and his future mother-in-law the date and place was set. 9/12/2025 rolled around, the couple enjoyed a double date at a candle lit concert and Deonna was none the wiser that right downstairs were some of their close friends waiting to celebrate! Concert finished and it was time. The couple shared a private moment before they walked into the room filled with loved ones. After fumbling for the ring he dropped to one knee and asked the long awaited question..... She said yes! Now as the final days count down to their special day, the couple continues to nurture a relationship built on trust, loyalty, and unconditional love. They strive to strengthen their individual relationships with their Heavenly Father Jehovah as they want to ensure a strong three fold cord in their marriage so it can be nothing short of a success!
