Julian and Billy first met in 2017 at the University of Houston. They often crossed paths around campus and spent time together in group settings through the Filipino Student Association. Overtime, their friendship began to grow and those shared experiences became the start of something truly special. In October 2022, after years of friendship, their connection deepened — from text messages to spending more time together, they officially began dating. Over the years, their relationship has been filled with quality time, family hang outs, attending and watching sports, and most importantly, growing in faith together by attending church. In August 2024 on a family vacation, Billy proposed to Julian in Maui, Hawaii at sunset. Julian was completely surprised and of course said YES! Since their engagement, they’ve continued to travel, including a very special trip to Vietnam, which quickly became one of Julian’s favorite destinations. There, they took their engagement photos and had custom Ao Dài’s (Traditional Vietnamese Clothing) made for their wedding. Julian and Billy are so excited to be getting married in Houston, surrounded by family and friends, at the Milano Event Center in Sugar Land. They’re especially grateful for loved ones traveling from near and far — including from Vietnam — to celebrate this special occasion. Julian and Billy are united in their faith and love with God at the center of their relationship. They cannot wait to begin this next chapter together and are counting down the days to May 23, 2026!
