What days should we book our trip for?

Answer

Kyle and Jules will be on Oak Island from Tuesday, October 16th, to Tuesday, October 22nd. Much of both sides of their families will be down for the entire week as well.

Should I drive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please don't. If you are staying at the hotel in Southport, a shuttle will transport guests back and forth. Times will be specified upon guest check-in. If you have decided to rent a house, condo, or apartment on the island, please see our Travel page to claim your free Uber rides to and from the wedding.

Should I stay in the hotel in Southport or rent a house/condo on the island?

Answer

Either one is a good idea. The island is only nine miles long, so no matter what you choose, you will not be far away from the wedding venue.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress to impress! But remember, it is an outdoor ceremony and reception. And always check the weather forecast.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Whenever the Curtises fly south, they fly into Myrtle Beach International Airport, in South Carolina, as it's the closest airport that offers direct flights. MBIA is less than an hour drive from Oak Island.

Will there be a sit-down dinner served?

Answer

No. Why limit cocktails and hors d'ouevres to only one hour? After the ceremony, the reception will immediately begin for guests. This will include a raw bar, passed hors d'ouevres, and various food stations that will be served all night long.

Is there an after party?

Answer

Have we met? When the wedding reception is over, if you're just not ready to go to bed, feel free to party the night away on the Curtis' property. A food truck will arrive at midnight for guests to satisfy any hunger pangs.
