FAQs

Question

Why Lisbon?

Answer

Lisbon claims the title of one of the sunniest cities in Europe with almost 2,800 hours of sunlight per year! Also, has the best sunset in Europe over the Atlantic Ocean Horizon.

Question

How many days do I need to plan for your wedding?

Answer

Lisbon is a beautiful city and has lots to do and see. Worth spending a few days over there, maybe your summer holidays? Please plan to be at the venue on 31st of July and 1st of August to ensure you make all the wedding festivities. 31st of July will be Welcome BBQ & Drinks. 1st of August is the Wedding Day that will last all night. We are planning a Post Wedding Day Celebration in Lisbon city on 2nd of August (venue to be confirmed).

Question

How do I get to the weeding venue?

Answer

Car rental is a good idea. While you can Uber/ Bolt it there or by taxi - keep in mind, since the venue is located in the countryside, it might be difficult to get an Uber/ Bolt or taxi back to Lisbon city or your accommodation in the evening time.

Question

Where is the Welcome BBQ and Wedding Day?

Answer

For the Welcome BBQ on Wednesday the venue is Quinta do Casal Novo. Our Wedding Day - ceremony and party on Thursday, the venue is Our Quinta. Both places are in the same address, just cross the road! For Post Wedding Day Celebration on Friday, we are planning to stay in Lisbon city, and would love if people could join for a few drinks to say good bye or see you soon before heading back to Ireland. SOL is a lovely bar restaurant with a stunning view. Bring your sun glasses!

Question

Where do the guests stay?

Answer

We would preferably have all guests to book a room at Dolce CampoReal Lisboa, so we can organise a shuttle bus to transfer everyone to and from the venue. For guests attending the post-wedding celebrations, please book accommodation in Lisbon city.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that our guests be in “Smart Casual” attire - the more colour, the better! Ladies - leave your stilettos at home and opt for stacked heels, wedges or comfortable footwear as this is an outdoor wedding with lots of grass and gravel. We would like you to be as comfortable as possible. So feel free to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into.

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

In July and August, the weather in Lisbon is usually warm to hot. The average temperature is of 23°C (74°F), with a minimum of 18.3°C (65°F) and a maximum of 27°C (82°F).

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

We would love to offer everyone a +1, but unfortunately due to limited capacity at our venue, we currently cannot accommodate anymore guests. Please check your invite!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately due to space limitations, we are having an adults-only wedding. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party - close family. If anyone needs help with making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence on the day is what's most important to us. However if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon, cash gifts are welcome.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We would appreciate if you could confirm asap, however, RSVP by January 31st please, so we can have an accurate headcount and begin confirming the accommodation, shuttle bus and catering.
