Day 1 – Move-In Madness Josh rolls onto the Houston Baptist University campus ready for classes, Chick-fil-A, and maybe a nap. On Josh’s first day at Houston Baptist University, God gave his grandmother a clear word: he would meet his future wife here. Josh laughs, and shrugs it off. Day 27 – Plot Twist Juliana shows up. Through mutual friends, they meet, bond over their mutual love for the gym, and immediately schedule a “friendly” workout. (Translation: just trying to find someone who won’t bail on leg day.) Gym Date #1 One workout turns into “just hanging out,” which turns into basically never leaving each other’s side. They’re swapping playlists, spotting each other on squats, and pretending not to notice when they match outfits. And after the shockingly obvious realization that they were way too similar—and somehow knew way too many of the same people from back home. They left thinking, “Well… that was unexpected.” And then proceed to hang out every single day like it’s their new full-time job. Academic Grind & Drive-Thru Delights Days spent in the library “studying” (read: whispering, sharing AirPods to listen to music and laughing in the corner). Nights spent in the drive-thru line, teaching Josh that food tastes better when eaten in the car (and Juliana cannot wait until she gets home to eat like a normal person). The Big Confession After weeks of being “just friends” who suspiciously act like more than friends, they finally confess their feelings. It’s official—they’re a thing. And deep down, they both know… Grandma was right. The Growing Season Like every real love story, it wasn’t perfect from day one. They had to grow—individually and together—learning patience, grace, and how to navigate life’s curveballs. Over time, they realized putting God at the center of their relationship would be the most important thing they could ever do, and that changed everything. Now From a campus gym meetups to forever teammates in life, they’re ready for marriage, laughter, faith, and whatever adventures God has in store next. Let’s get married!
