Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the ceremony, so you have time to pick a good seat and to allow us to start on time

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We will have a shuttle to bring guests to the venue and back to the following hotels: The Hilton Garden Inn and Wingate by Wyndham, Courtyard by Marriott, and the George Washington. You may leave vehicles overnight, but they must be retrieved before 10 A.M. the next day

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is dressy casual, otherwise known as semi-formal (a nice sundress or cocktail dress, dressy blouse/jumpsuit, slacks, khakis, or button up shirt are all great). No jeans or T-shirts please. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass, so plan footwear accordingly : )

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation indicates another guest, yes. Otherwise, due to limited space, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Due to limited space, we have decided to make our special day an adults only event. Thank you for your understanding.

Is parking available?

Answer

All parking is free and located onsite.

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Due to the barn’s historic age and potential fire hazard, smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere outside of the designated smoking area, 100 feet from the barn.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony and reception will be held at Cloverdale Barn. Ceremony will be outside (weather permitting) and reception will be in the barn.

What will the weather be like in early June?

Answer

Around this time of year in VA, it should be fairly warm in the 70’s or 80’s and cooler at night.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see our Travel tab here on the website. We have added two hotel blocks, and there are plenty of hotels and air bnbs in the Winchester area. You can always reach out to us if you have any other questions.

Heck yeah. We’ll be serving beer and wine.
