Our story began about three and a half years ago when I moved to Bellingham to attend Western Washington University. I still remember the day I met Juliana... It was late fall at a Young Life college gathering at what we call the Clubhouse. I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she was, and how her laughter and energy seemed to light up the entire room. Those who know me well know that I wasn’t in a rush to start a relationship. I had been praying and trusting that, in His timing, God would bring the right woman into my life. After about two years and three months (and many prayers), I finally worked up the courage to tell Juju how I felt. I was incredibly nervous. What I didn’t know was that she had been feeling the same way for quite some time. When we shared our hearts with each other, something clicked. It didn’t take long for me to realize that, I wanted to marry this amazing woman. Over time and through many more prayers, I felt a deep peace and conviction that God had truly smiled upon the relationship we were building. So I bought a ring and asked her to be my wife, and thank God, she said yes! A few years ago, we were simply new friends with unspoken feelings. Now, we’re preparing to become husband and wife, committing to love one another for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Jesus, for a gift greater than I ever could have imagined.
