Jumirim is a small town (~3000 habitants). Surrounded by the rivers Tietê and Sorocaba, Jumirim receives many people interested in fishing and eco-tourism.

Piracicaba is home to the oldest agricultural university in Brazil, the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ), where Juliana attended college. Founded in 1901, the school is located on a farm with a large collection of trees and plants. You can walk through the campus and have a picnic on its lawns. The city is famous for its traditional cachaça production and traditional music. At "Rua do Porto", you can enjoy good restaurants by the Piracicaba river. You can also visit "Engenho", which used to be a sugarcane mill and currently is used for events.
