You can fly into LGA (recommended), JFK, or EWR airports
For those of you who are newer to NYC, it is probably easiest to take an Uber/Lyft from the airports to the hotel. For those who are more "experienced" New York travelers, we recommend public transportation. Just search your destination on Google Maps and follow the public transit route.
We recommend you don't! Besides transportation to/from the airport, most planned activities will have a suggested mode of transportation. During any free time, the subway, walking, or Uber/Lyft/taxis will be your best bet for getting around Manhattan.
Yes, see the Travel section of our website to a discounted hotel rate!
Thursday Night Welcome Dinner -- Cocktail Attire Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. Saturday Ceremony and Reception -- "The More Dramatic, the Better" Formal Dark suits, gowns, blazers, and cocktail dresses are welcome. We want to see your personal style taken to the max with a dramatic, dark-colored ensemble. For guys, this probably means a dark colored suit -- feel free to have fun with a blazer, tie/pocket square, etc.; for gals, the sky's the limit! All other events or free time will be more casual, or dependent on what you choose to do! Make sure to pack layers and comfortable shoes, as you will be walking a lot throughout the weekend!
New York is a very walkable city with good public transportation (by US standards) and every taxi/ride share option available. Thursday: -The hotel is a 0.4-mile/10 minute walk to '12 Chairs' (the welcome dinner) -- There will not be transportation provided Saturday: -Our ceremony location is still TBD, but will likely be somewhere in downtown near our other events and the hotel. -The Little Owl Townhouse (cocktail hour, dinner/reception) is in the West Village. It is a 0.9-mile/20 minute walk from the hotel, but will likely be closer to the ceremony location. Depending on the location of the ceremony (more details to come soon), it may be best to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft to the Little Owl Townhouse.
We chose an October wedding in New York because Fall in the city is beautiful with comfortable temperatures! This means crisp temperatures that probably range in the 50s-60s. With a few of our events being in the evening, it may be a good idea to pack a jacket.
