Once upon a time, in the small suburb of Harrington Park, a young boy name Nick and a young girl named Julia grew up just a few houses apart. They went to the same schools, attended the same swim club, and even had the same babysitter. Fate seemed to dance around them, but their paths never quite crossed. One day, when they were both five years old, their shared babysitter took Nick to watch Julia's ice skating practice at Fritz Dietl (their "first" date!). Nick, fascinated by Julia's grace on the ice, wandered too close and in a moment of distraction slipped and cracked his head on the hard rink. He was sent to the emergency room as Julia continued to twirl, unaware of the boy who had just been a few feet away. Years passed, and the boy and girl grew up side by side, their lives unfolding in parallel. They sat in the same classrooms, attended the same Coffee House dances, had the same friends, yet never met. Years later in their late twenties, Nick matched with Julia on Hinge in NYC. Their "second" date at Mace in West Village was filled with stories, laughter, experimental cocktails, and the discovery of just how much they had in common. At the end of the night the two realized their lives were changed forever.
