FAQs

If you know the bride, you know she has lots of questions and likes to be prepared. So we tried to anticipate any questions you may have, to help make you feel comfortable. If you have any unanswered questions please contact the mother of the bride at: 774-271-1657
Question

What's the suggested attire?

Answer

Let's call it dressy casual. Please wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable. There will be some lawn games and outdoor time if weather permits, so please consider bringing a shawl or jacket. Also, consider wearing "lawn compatible shoes" aka maybe save those stiletto stunners for another night.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation listed your partner's name, or your name and "Guest", you are welcome to bring a date. If this isn't the case, we thank you in advance for respecting our wedding limitations.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your invitation said "and family" kiddos are welcome. If parents want a night off, we totally support that too! We are trying to make our event as kid-friendly as possible, but will not be providing additional supervision. We will have a kids activity table, and hope to see guests of all ages on the dance floor.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered through this site, Zola. It also holds all of our registries to other stores as well, like EMS, Bed Bath and Beyond, and items from other websites like Amazon. If you purchase an item in the store rather than online, please tell the cashier to take it off the registry, or you can update it on Zola online afterward.

Question

What's an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

An unplugged ceremony means we are asking guests to refrain from using phones and cameras. Our hope is that you can be fully present and in the moment with us, not worrying about photos. We are just as excited about capturing the moment as you, but we trust our photographers and promise to share the photos with you!

Question

Can I smoke at the venue?

Answer

There will be a designated, covered smoking area away from the main tent. We ask that you please utilize this smoking area if you wish to smoke, out of respect for those with conflicting health concerns and venue rules.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony & reception?

Answer

There is parking at the venue with valet assistance as well.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the New Bedford hotel and the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, check out our Travel page for all the info you need.

Question

What about weather?

Answer

It is a rain or shine wedding, but we are hoping for shine! Cross your fingers and toes for a beautiful day. If the weather doesn't want to cooperate, maybe bring an umbrella. The tent does have waterproof siding, and we can utilize some portable heaters to keep us comfy,

Question

Ok, but what about the bar?

Answer

We are happy to be able to provide an open bar 5-9 pm, with beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Cash bar only from 9 pm until last call. We want everyone to enjoy themselves fully and safely.

For all the days along the way
