Truly the quintessential Boston activity. Follow the red brick road that leads from the Boston Commons to the Bunker Hill Monument past 16 aggressively historic sites. Along the way there is plenty of opportunity for food, drink and cannoli. Check out the website for maps and information about each site.
There is always something blooming in this beautiful public garden. If the weather is nice consider getting take out and eating in the garden. Also home of the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue which is dressed up in seasonal costumes.
Who doesn't love trees!? Well worth the ride on the T (take the orange line) for a walk to see all the beautiful landscaping and a wide variety of trees and gardens. Bonus points if you bring Ginger's (Mother of the groom) book for a handy guide.
On a blind taste test this was Julia's favorite Cannoli. Will prefers Modern Pastry down the road.
This quirky museum is worth the visit. It is full of eclectic art that Ms. Gardner collected and placed in her home/museum. You can see anything from a renaissance masterpiece to an exquisite porcelain vase from China all in the same room. Also can see the empty frames of the art that was stolen in 1990! (One of the largest art thefts in history; recommend the short Netflix show called "this is a robbery" on this as well)
