Flight
We recommend flying into one of these 3 airports. DCA is the closest. It is about a 45 minute drive to the venue. BWI is about an hour drive. IAD is about an hour and 15 minute drive. You will need to either uber or rent a car from the airport. Note- There are plenty of Ubers to get you to the venue from an airport. Ubers may be scarce near the venue. I would look into scheduling an uber ahead of time if this is your plan.
Hotel
We will be staying here the night of the wedding! The Rod and Reel resort is the closest option to the venue. It is about a 5-10 minute drive. We have a room block of 10 rooms reserved using the link below. The hotel is newly renovated and these rooms are in the older section of the building, but you are welcome to upgrade for an additional cost. We plan to have a shuttle to and from the hotel for the wedding. View our shuttle information in the FAQs. *Unfortunately, all of the rooms in our room block have been taken. The hotel still has plenty of rooms available at their normal rate. Use the link below to book through the hotel.
Hotel
Our venue has on-site accommodations for those who don't want to worry about getting somewhere after a wedding.
House Or Rental
There are a ton of Airbnbs and VRBO's in the area. We recommend staying near the rod n reel resort because there is a cute little beach town with shops and restaurants vs near the venue is much more residential. Here is a list of Airbnb's recommended by the venue.
Travel Note
You are welcome to stay near Washington D.C. or Annapolis, MD- just keep in mind that these cities are about a 40 minute drive to our venue!
Travel Note
Tyler and I have driven to DC from both Cincinnati and Boston! The drive from Cincinnati is about 8hrs. Probably 8.5 to the venue and you will see the capital and the Washington monument on the way. It is a very easy and uncomplicated drive! The drive from Boston is a little more difficult due to driving through so many major cities- Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. We recommend leaving as early as possible to avoid as much traffic as possible. If there's no traffic, it's about 8.5 hours as well. You can also take the Amtrak from Boston, but will need to rent a car at Union Station (D.C.) in order to get to the venue.
