When should I RSVP by?

As soon as possible please! We need a solid guest count by April 5, 2024.

Cocktail attire-- nothing too formal, but look pretty and have fun!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you may bring a date. Venue capacity is limited.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be a bus to and from the hotels. The bus will pick guests up at the Hyatt House at 3:15pm, and from the Residence Inn at 3:30pm. It will depart The Mill at Fine Creek at the end of the reception, around 11:00pm. *Please note, transportation will only be provided for the wedding on May, 5. Transportation will not be provided for the welcome party on May, 4.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is ample parking at The Mill at Fine Creek. Both the ceremony and reception will be at the same location. It is approximately a 15-20 minute drive from the Short Pump hotels.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Dinner will be a buffet-style meal with plenty of choices for both gluten free and vegetarian friends.

Can you tell me more about the venue?

Answer

We are getting married at The Mill at Fine Creek, in Powhatan VA. It is about 30 minutes from Richmond, and about 15-20 minutes from the hotels in Short Pump. Much of our wedding will be outdoors, weather permitting. There are stone paths, gravel areas, and some grassy areas, as well as a creek and some super cool old ruins. The ceremony will take place outdoors. Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor-- we recommend exploring all the beautiful nooks and crannies in the paths and ruins during this time! The reception will be indoors. There is lots of porch seating as well that can be utilized. Be ready to be both inside and outside as we celebrate all night!!
