In case you didn’t know… Julia Louise Agan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and later swept away by a storm (quite literally) to the scenic mountains of Chattanooga, Tennessee. There, she earned her degree and made the bold decision to become a Field Artillery Officer. Seth Joseph Cournoyer was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, where he spent most of his life. After graduating from the University of Vermont, he too felt the call to serve and chose the same path: Field Artillery. By what some might call coincidence—but what we believe was divine timing—both Julia and Seth found themselves at the same Basic Officer Leader Course, and one fateful day, they stepped into the same elevator… which promptly broke down. That elevator may have stalled, but something greater started moving. Since then, their journey together has crossed countries and continents. From military trainings to long-distance love between Germany and Louisiana, they’ve faced every challenge with strength, humor, and grace. Their love story is anything but ordinary—one built on faith, resilience, and a shared passion for service. And now, they can’t wait to begin this next chapter together, surrounded by the people who mean the most.
