Travel Note
Option 1: Fly to Bloomington (BMI) There are no direct flights from NY, but you can fly into town on a connection flight. This is a good option if you do not want to spend time in Chicago. You would not need to rent a car if you don’t want to—you can take an Uber to your hotel and the wedding. Option 2: Fly to Chicago and travel down Bloomington-Normal is about two and a half hours from Chicago. You can rent a car and drive down or take an Amtrak train from Union Station, Chicago (CHI) to Bloomington-Normal (BNI). From O’Hare Airport, the Blue line Metro train to Union Station takes about an hour.
Travel Note
We do not have a hotel block anywhere. Any hotel in Bloomington, Illinois or Normal, Illinois will be close enough. It is not a big or busy city. It takes 10-15 minutes to get anywhere at any time of day. If you are not renting a car, I recommend the hotels linked below because they are in a walkable part of town. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants from these hotels. They are also just a few blocks away from the Amtrak station.
