How to get around if renting a car?

Answer

Renting a car is a great way to experience a new country! One tip is to download Waze on your phone. You can utilize this gps app even without WiFi. Just make sure to put your destination in the app (and save it) while you are on WiFi. When you hop in your car to go there, the gps will works to get you where you need to go!

Do I need to switch to an international cell phone plan?

Answer

Nope! Most places in Antigua offer complimentary WiFi and that’s all you need for your phone to work. When going to and from places, you don’t really need cellphone service. It’s actually a great way to unplug from your phone for a little bit. Keep in mind that you can choose to activate your international plan at anytime. If you do this, make sure to keep your phone on airplane mode (turn off if you need to use your phone) while out and about or you’ll rack up some roaming charges!
