We're getting married!

Julia Jones

and

Ramses Ascanio

It's kind of a long story...

but I'll sum it up.

We initially met in geometry class in 10th grade. I (Julia) sat behind him. One day, about halfway through the semester he asked me for my phone number, and then later asked me out. I'd said no. Now, I'm a firm believer in things working out the way they do for a reason. Anyways, our senior year rolls around and now the tables have turned and I have a massive crush on him. My friend Alia, who will be one of my beautiful bridesmaids, told him flat out. And he didn't believe her. Like, actually didn't believe her. So nothing came of it. Until a few months later Alia and I were on her apartment balcony and I drafted up a text to him admitting she was right, and asking him if he'd want to go out on a date. I was so nervous to send it that I made Alia do it for me. And then it snowballed from there, and we had the best two months together until he went away to college. But we couldn't just not be together, so we decided on long distance, which was two years of absolute torture being so far apart and not seeing each other much. But again, everything works out the way it does for a reason. And that reason is that we both have something real, something solid, and something good to hang onto at the end of the day. I got to, and get to experience a love like the ones I read about in books, like I see on screens. We have now been together since 2018, and have grown so much together as individuals and as a couple. I feel immensely grateful for the boy who sat in front of me in 10th grade geometry, who is now my fiancé, and will soon be my husband. I think it's safe to say that he at least likes me a little bit since he put a ring on my finger. With all of this being said, we are both extremely excited to celebrate with all of you. Immense love and gratitude, Julia & Ramses
