Why are you inviting everyone to the Mass but only some people to the reception?

Answer

We're a young couple that doesn't have a million dollars to feed the world, but, we still wanted to invite the world to share in the most important part of our day: the wedding ceremony. Our Nuptial Mass is where we will unite our souls and vow to be together for our entire lives. We want everyone to experience the most perfect sign of Christ's love for his Church: marriage between a man and a woman in the sacrament of Matrimony. The Church doors are open and the public is welcome and we hope you'll hug us and grab some refreshments in the gathering space before you head out on your way. The reception in the evening is only for family and very close friends, we had to keep it simple to fit and feed everyone. If you have not received an invitation to this reception, please know we want you at the Mass and can't wait to see you when we look out into the congregation as husband and wife!
